🧠 Quotes that make you think:
"It is essential for you to remember that the attention you give to any action should be in due proportion to it's worth, for then you won't tire and give up, if you aren't busying yourself with lesser things beyond what should be allowed" - Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 4.32b

📈 Trends Of The Week:
“Barbershops are on the rise again!
“Google Search interest in “barber near me” is at an all-time high, and r/Barber subreddit subscribers boomed ~580% in the last year. TikTok videos with #barbershop and #barber tags together have ~23B views.
The trend is not surprising if you consider how the male grooming market has taken off.”
“Bird watching takes an uptick!
In 2021, more people than ever before logged their bird sightings in the UK’s annual Big Garden Birdwatch.
Not only did the survey have a record-breaking year with 1m participants, but findings show that the increase was highest among 18-to-29-year-olds. Participation from individuals ages 18 to 29 tripled, and more than doubled among those ages 30 to 34.
Bird-watching is big business. You may remember from our analysis published last year that ~47m bird-watchers spent $41B on trips and equipment in the US in 2011, and bird viewing and photography grew by 287% from 1982 to 2009.”

Think of Jane Technologies as the Shopify of weed, and it’s an important distinction. While other startups attempt to build a destination marketplace like Amazon, Jane Technologies is trying something more powerful. “Copenhagen-based process automation platform Leapwork has snagged Denmark’s largest ever Series B funding round, announcing a $62 million raise co-led by KKR and Salesforce Ventures, with existing investors DN Capital and Headline also participating.
It claims that by using its ‘no code’ tech — a label for the trend which refers to software that’s designed to be accessible to non-technical staff, greatly increasing its utility and applicability — businesses can achieve a 10x faster time to market, 97% productivity gains, and a 90% reduction in application errors. "
“Mindset, a platform featuring personal story collections from recording artists, announced today that it raised $8.7 million in seed funding.”
“We found that this was a unique selling point people really wanted more of — so we started to think about ways to really double-down on that aspect,” said CEO Brian Nam. “How do we provide more of this valuable content to Gen Z and young millennial audiences? We decided that there wasn’t really the right kind of platform out there for this type of storytelling, so we decided to develop our own mobile platform to uniquely share these stories in an audio format.”
“In a blog post this morning, Alphabet drone delivery company Wing announced that it is set to hit 100,000 customer deliveries over the weekend. The news comes on the second anniversary of the service’s pilot launch in Logan, Australia, a city of roughly 300,000 people in the Brisbane metropolitan area.
The drones cruise at around 100 to 150 feet in the air and lower down to about 23 feet when they reach their destination. From there, a tether lowers the package to the ground and unhooks it. No one is required to receive the package.”
“As tens of thousands of Afghan refugees resettle around the world, where they stay will be the first chapter in their new lives. For these 20,000 refugees, my hope is that the Airbnb community will provide them with not only a safe place to rest and start over, but also a warm welcome home," he said. The offer starts immediately and the company said it was working with non-governmental organisations "on the ground" to help with the most pressing needs.”

⏰ Timeless Insight:
Sadhguru, Break the status quo: Look at life in terms of what can be changed and do something about it. Crying about things that you cannot change is a sure strategy to remain at status quo. At least once a month, every full moon day, consciously look at this and identify one small thing about yourself that you want to change. Like, “Every time before I eat, I will spend 10 seconds in gratitude for this food which is going to become a part of me.” Or, “Every time I use anything that is an essential element of my life, like the soil, the water, the air, and everything else around me, I will save 1% of it.” Or, “I will see to it that I only put on my plate what I can eat.” These small things will change your life and set you apart.
Sadhguru is an Indian yogi who teaches yoga, meditation and frequently answers questions related to spirituality.
