🎨 Thumb-stopping AD creative

In this section I will be highlighting a few stand out ads I came across during the week.

“Dripkit is creating coffee tech for our changing lifestyles. Our first product, portable pour over, is a premium coffee experience that goes where you go. Launching November 2017.”

What made this creative stand out?

  • Amazing use of the before and after style! Every parent talks about the chaos that can ensue with young children.

  • The photos really quickly paint the picture of chaos on the left and a calm happiness on the right. It’s a great use of emotional imagery to highlight the internal feeling the product provides the consumer.

  • I think the key to these images is the degree of juxtaposition between the images. Go big or go home.

AD 2: Wild

“Refillable natural deodorant that’s effective, convenient and sustainable straight to your door.”

What made this creative stand out?

  • Native looking:

    • This “reply to comment” style is one that so many creators post organically and was popularised on Tik Tok, it’s a great way to start the video as it’s not an in your face advert and it’s genuinely answering customer questions.

  • Use of multiple reviews in one video:

    • What I found really compelling was that the video was edited so that as the story arch played out the video cut to 4+ people giving reviews of their positive experience with Wild. Most UGC style ads only use one review at a time. This addition of multiple creators really increased my engagement with the video.

Executive:

“In a nutshell, we’re a social media agency. Born in 2016 with a team number you could fit on half a hand, we’re now a 40+ strong family of creators, analysts, specialists, enthusiasts, deep-thinkers, boundary-pushers and list-makers (see what I did there?).

Our mission is to help build brands we believe in and have fun while we’re doing it! That’s why we’ve won quite a few awards, not just for our work, but also for our workplace, such as the ‘Top 100 Best Places to Work’.

We work with a wide range of clients. And we really do mean a wide range. Sportswear, home security, dairy alternatives, fantasy football, exercise bikes, tech, and even sex toys are just a few industries we are involved in.
